Story of Our Lives : Antique Car Engagement Photography

Finding props to go along with a photo session is always a challenge but also a passion for us photographers especially. So when Aliesha said her dad owns an “MG” we were like “a what now?” Then, we did what any technologically savvy teenagers typically do: grabbing the phone out of our pocket and Googled it. Lo and behold, it is actually an antique automobile – one that resembles the 1964 Aston Martin that James Bond rides.

On the day of the session, we had the privilege to meet Aliesha’s parents for the very first time. As we introduced ourselves, we were astonished by the exotic accent they speak English in. Apparently they are Australians who happened to relocate to the good ol’ south. The proud mom also took the initiative to decorate a bouquet of flowers (which looked very professional by the way), a fancy picnic basket complete with silverware, as well as freshly prepared hot chocolate with marshmallow.

All in all it felt more like a picnic than a shoot. We had the privilege to simply sit back and witness the love story of Aliesha and Chris unfolding as they spent time together on a fine Saturday morning.
