Something Beautiful : Southern Wedding Photography

We finally found our “why” – the reasons our hearts explode with joy every time we think or talk about it. “It” being this small seed that we planted at the beginning of our relationship and continued to grow in parallel with us. This blank canvas onto which we pour our shared life-long dream to produce Something Beautiful. Something Meaningful. Something That Lasts Forever.

Photography can be a very cool hobby, an awesome side hustle, and even a viable career. But, personally, it is so much more than that:

• Photography teaches us to focus our “lens” – literally and figuratively – on the important things in life and blur all the “noise.”
• Photography affords us with lessons on love and the importance of building a marriage more beautiful than even the most Pinterest-worthy weddings.
• Photography empowers us to always be “in the moment.”
• Photography significantly heightens our appreciation of beauty – be it a twinkle in someone’s eyes or a genuine smile that comes from a well-loved heart.

In fact, our friends constantly marveled at our ability to find beauty in everything…even in seemingly ordinary circumstances. We all laughed about it, but they made us realize what a gift this “Passion Project” has been for us. After all, whether in photography or in life or in love (or in “insert anything here”!), it is very beneficial to train yourselves to always find Something Beautiful by re-adjusting your angle and perspectives. We know our lives have been made richer because of it :)

Melissa and Dom’s wedding was full of beautiful moments…from the ceremony which was officiated by none other than Dom’s sister to the quiet moments shared between the newlyweds all the way to the dance floor where everyone was dancing and having a great time. It was an amazing night and we feel very lucky to have been a part of it.
