Recently we heard a message from our pastor about happiness and basically what makes you happy. One of the key highlights is the notion that happiness is ultimately about who, not what. That explains why even the rich and famous sometimes feel unhappy with their life, and on the other spectrum, why some of the most underprivileged people on earth have the most contagious smile because they have close family and neighbors.
The same idea happens in a marriage. The happiest couples are those who enjoy each other’s company regardless of what, where and when. That is why wedding vows are a challenge as well as an encouragement to stick with each other “for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health” because what matters most at the end of the day is, as Al Green puts it, “as long as we’re together.”
As we were editing through Tiffany and Philip’s wedding photos, we could easily sense that they are one of those privileged couples who can call themselves happy. Judging from the emotions throughout the day, you can tell that they really enjoy being with each other. Two of our absolute favorite moments from their wedding day are seconds before and after the first look. You can witness the happiness and excitement in Philip’s face as Tiffany tiptoed behind him. Then, as they turned around and faced each other… priceless!
Tiffany and Philip, congratulations again on your wedding and marriage. We believe and pray that you both will continually be happy in your marriage!
