c. more than 10 people raised their glasses and delivered an impromptu toast.
d. the bride and groom serenaded the audience with their voices in a duet.
e. all of the above.
Our answer: e. all of the above!
We have heard so many times of a wedding where the groom sings to the bride but this time Nestor set the bar higher than ever before. Everyone, including us, was surprised when he made an original song out of his vows and sang it to Katherine. We could barely take pictures as the song melted our hearts and tears welled up our eyes. But the singing did not stop there. Towards the end of the ceremony, the duo blessed beloved friends and family by harmonically singing a number to reaffirm their commitment to each other as they start their marriage life together. It was truly a one-of-a-kind, if not the best, wedding ceremony we have ever witnessed.
The reception was equally heart-warming. There were at least 10 people who (voluntarily) stood up from their chairs just to say a word or two about the bride and the groom. Some said they were blessed and honored to have Nestor baptize them. Some said their lives were changed by how God works through his music ministry. The sister of the bride shared that laughter was a major ingredient in their sisterhood and that their laughs were loud, like I-can’t-believe-we-just-did-that kind of loud (and… snort). The brother of the bride then finally revealed the behind-the-scenes from the bride’s perspective when Nestor first sparked interest in Katherine, and how he cleverly used “church ministry” to bond closer with her (it always works!).
Katherine and Nestor, we could not see a better companion than the two of you, and we are so honored by the invitation to capture one of your milestone moments. You have blessed us through your radiant personalities and angelic voices. We pray that you two would embark on this amazing journey called marriage with happiness, and we believe the Lord will shower His love and favor upon you through the rest of your days. Congratulations and may the babies arrive soon!
