We’re Avina and Edwin, husband-and-wife wedding photographers and storytellers (now also proud parents of cheeky miss Vivian).
We launched ENMUSE on our first year of dating back in 2009 (or 2008 according to Edwin). A boyfriend-and-girlfriend who started a wedding photography business together? Everyone thought we were crazy!
But everything changed the minute we experienced the magic of weddings – realizing that it is a celebration of finding the one amongst eight billion people on Planet Earth; the beginning of life’s most exciting adventure. We can’t help but get 100% invested and fired up. Especially knowing that our work will be passed down from one generation to the next.
Little did we know, this thing we stumbled upon while dating would make many hearts sing and inspire us in ways we could never imagined.
She is an avid storyteller and master at finding beauty even in seemingly ordinary moments. A fashion magazine addict since her tweens, she still can’t believe she now gets to realize her lifelong dreams of creative directing photoshoots for a living! On each day after shooting a wedding, you can find her in a neighborhood sushi bar with a good book/magazine/journal on hand or at the comfort of her home soaking up every moment with sweet Vivian.
ABOUT HIM
He is an engineer-by-day, photographer-by-night and a self-confessed 24/7 perfectionist. Perfecting the art of capturing genuine, #allthefeels moments is one of his life’s joys and most important works. On his off days, you can find him queueing for bubble tea, working hard at his #purposeproject at North Point Community Church, marveling on the genius-ness that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe and making little Vivian giggle like there’s no tomorrow.
OUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE : CANDITORIAL
Yup, it's a completely made up word and it means a unique blend of authentic, heartfelt moments (“candid”) with a dash of #highfashion (“editorial”). As storytellers, our ultimate goal is to artistically and intentionally capture both the major as well as the more subtle, #allthefeels emotions so that one day you (and the generations after you) can look back on these treasures and use them as fuels to help build a marriage even more beautiful than your Pinterest-worthy wedding.
