Soulmates : Washington, D.C. Engagement Session

“Couples who play together stay together”.

When Erwin and Dian told us that they dedicated a couple of days at a video game arcade during a recent trip to Japan, we knew that this couple is in for the long haul. We don’t think Erwin ever saw this coming, but here he is with a future wife who is not only beautiful – but also shares his passion for Japan, anime, manga… and also in video games. There are probably at least a million guys in the world who are dreaming and wishing for this very ideal combination in a woman right about now :)

For their engagement session, we decided to not only explore their current hometown – Washington, D.C. – but also to capture the two of them in the comfort of their first house together. We started quite early in the morning at the Tidal Basin area / the Jefferson Memorial and ended at the Capitol. However, our newest favorite place to shoot has got to be the Library of Congress – which is one of the grandest and most beautifully ornate buildings inside-and-out!
