Sparks Fly : Biltmore Engagement Photography

Gil has been a friend (and, at some point, even a roommate!) for many years for the two of us. We went through the ups and downs of being in our “early 20s” together. From going to crazy awesome concerts to a particularly memorable road trip to DC; “working together” on many events celebrating our Indonesian heritage to partying til the wee hours celebrating his birthday; countless fattening gastronomic experience to much healthier sporting events; searching to eventually finding the basis of our faith; bad hair days to skinny jeans makeovers ;) and, of course, the endless search of “the One”.

Inne actually came to the picture soon afterwards on one crazy Karaoke night. But, apparently sparks fly much later when the two re-connected back home in Indonesia. We were so incredibly happy that the two found love in each other and especially ecstatic when they asked us to take their engagement photo during their vacation back to Atlanta.

For old time’s sake, we took a little road trip to the beautiful, mountainous city of Asheville in North Carolina. Our main destination is the gorgeous Biltmore Estate, a castle nestled right in the middle of the city… and the setting of the classic movie “Richie Rich” starring the one and only Macaulay Caulkin. On our way there, however, we saw the most beautiful bed of pink wild flowers off the side of the road with mountains on the background – so breathtaking it made us want to stretch our arms and sing “The hills are aliveee…” :) Needless to say, we stopped there for a few shots that turned out to be one of our faves!
