As Ms. Swift puts it so eloquently, there’s just something about a lady in red that captures her lover’s full, undivided attention. And we got to witness it firsthand when shooting William and Maurine’s engagement session in Rock City, TN. With her red-lips-red-dress combo, Maurine pretty much looked like a goddess walking around in her private, magical, straight-out-of-the-storybooks garden. Ethereal, breathtakingly gorgeous, and…yep, an all-around classic beauty. No wonder William had that daydream, James Dean-y look in his eyes the whole time :)

That day, we were blessed with crystal-clear skies, sparkling golden hour, amazing panoramic view covering no less than seven states from the top of Rock City’s “Lover’s Leap”…and the sweetest couple we could ever hope to work with. William and Maurine were students at Georgia Perimeter College when they first met years ago. What started with innocent texts ended with William winning Maurine’s heart… and it all led to this moment-in-time when the two of them stood above the clouds, releasing red heart balloons into the sunset. It was their moment…and we are so thankful that they chose to share it with us. To say that we cannot wait for their wedding later this year is a major understatement!
