la vie en rose

This pair met in college in Stillwater, Oklahoma, back in 2002. Fast forward a couple years, Edo graduated and relocated to Atlanta to start his career. Meanwhile, Nita stayed back for another 2 years to finish her degree. Soon afterwards, she was offered a job in San Francisco. And this is where it gets exciting!

Now to all the skeptics out there, let me tell you something: online chatting works! And that’s exactly what happened. 2,000 miles didn’t hinder them from connecting deeply with each other through cyber space. Conversations after conversations eventually led Edo to visit Nita regularly since 2006 and they started dating October that year.

In 2007, Nita moved to Atlanta to be with Edo and pursue her passion in culinary. (Oh and she now owns Simply Irresistible cakery! You’ll find that some of the finest cakes featured in this blog are her masterpieces.) And on Christmas eve the year after, he got down on one knee and popped the question with a (over-sized) ring, and a will-you-marry-me shaped Christmas lights as the backdrop as they were both drenched in rain. How romantic!

So if there’s one thing to be learned, ” love never fails.” Even when distance seemingly does.

We’re so privileged to be “enmused” by your love testimony. Congratulations again Edo + Nita!
